Apps for iPhone and Apple Watch that keep your data on your own device. About fifteen are in the works; the first ones reach the App Store soon.

CANADA, 22 September 2026 — Nidello launches today: an independent studio making apps for iPhone and Apple Watch. The idea is simple: what you put into a Nidello app stays on your device, or in your own iCloud. No ads, no tracking, and no account to create.

The name comes from nido, Italian for nest. A nest is small, carefully built and private, which is what every app from the studio sets out to be.

Four commitments, in every app

Your data stays yours. It never sits on a Nidello server. When an app has a reason to do otherwise, its privacy page says so first.

It works offline. A connection is a convenience, never a requirement.

Pay once where we can. An app that costs nothing to run should not carry a subscription.

Translated properly. Nine languages, with the place names, date formats and units people actually use where they live.

What is coming

About fifteen apps are in the works, across travel, health, fitness, style, home, cars, music and games. Among them: Cartina, a globe where every country you have visited lights up; Guardia, which ranks Quebec emergency rooms by the total time to a doctor, drive included; and Quadretto, a sudoku with a solver that never guesses.

None of them are on the App Store yet. Each release will be announced here, on news.nidello.ca.

“I wanted apps I could trust with my everyday life without wondering where my data was going. I couldn’t find them, so I started building them. Nidello is that promise, kept one app at a time.”

— Daniel, founder of Nidello

About Nidello

Nidello is an independent app studio in Canada. Its apps for iPhone and Apple Watch work offline, keep their users’ data on their own devices or in their own iCloud, and carry no advertising and no analytics.
